How to edit a photo online
- Open a photo: click to choose a file, drag and drop it, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac).
- Crop and rotate: pick a ratio such as 1:1 for Instagram or 35:45 for passport photos, drag a box and click Apply crop. Rotate by 90° or straighten a tilted horizon with the 0.1° slider.
- Enhance: tap Auto enhance, or fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, exposure and sharpness. Then try a filter like B&W or Sepia.
- Add text or hide details: type a caption and drag it into place, or blur and pixelate faces, phone numbers and number plates.
- Remove or replace the background: in Cut-out, click Remove background, touch up the edges with the Erase and Restore brushes, then choose transparent, white, any colour or your own image.
- Retouch: paint over spots, dust or blemishes with Spot heal, or copy one area over another with the Clone stamp.
- Export: set the width and height, choose JPG, PNG or WebP, and optionally compress to a target size like 50 KB. Click Download.
Remove background and change it to white
Click Remove background and an AI model cuts out the person or product right in your browser. The fast portrait model is about 7 MB and downloads only when you click; for products and objects pick the Balanced model. Paint with Erase to remove leftovers and Restore to bring back hair or edges from the original photo, with a red overlay showing what has been removed. Then set a white background for passport, visa and e-commerce product photos, any solid colour, or your own picture. Save as PNG or WebP for a transparent background.
Spot healing and clone stamp
Spot heal removes pimples, dust, sensor spots and small distractions: paint over them and they are filled in from the pixels around them. The Clone stamp copies one part of the photo onto another, which is handy for larger objects or repeating textures like grass, sky and walls. Alt-click on a computer or long-press on a phone to set the source point. Every brush stroke can be undone.
Compress an image to 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB
Exam, job and government portals (SSC, UPSC, PAN, passport and visa forms) often limit photos and signatures to a file size such as 20 KB or 50 KB. Tick Compress to target size, type the limit in KB and the editor finds the best quality that fits, shrinking the dimensions only if it has to.

Can I blur a face or a number plate?
Yes. In the Blur & pixelate panel, drag a box over the area and click Blur or Pixelate.
Which format should I download?
